On the Road

I love to travel with Lucky. In 2009, we traveled many places, visiting students and adults alike who want to learn about the value of green spaces – and meet TurfMutt!

As TurfMutt, Lucky helps spread the word about how to grow lawns and landscapes in a responsible way.

We look forward to more travels in 2010, but here are some of the places we already visited.

Where Have I Been Lately?

In 2009, Lucky and I visited agriculture students at the National FAA Foundation Annual Convention in Indianapolis and my lawn and landscape friends at GIE+EXPO in Louisville.  It was exciting and exhausting.  Below are highlights of our trips.

Here is Lucky at the Westin during our visit to FAA Convention – they gave him a heavenly bed and it was a great place for him to rest and recuperate.

We were able to visit with my Stihl friends.  The highlight of the visit was seeing this vintage John Deere tractor.

We met a lot of friends at the 2009 GIE+EXPO show.  Fred Whyte of Stihl and Mike Hoffman of Toro were happy to see ‘TurfMutt’ in his cape.  And, to our surprise, the Kentucky Expo Center had a 19-acre outside demo area.  Lucky could meet and greet people inside and run around outside and see so many different product choices for every type of job. They had equipment that runs on gas, propane, solar, electric, battery, diesel and biodiesel, everything for homeowners and landscapers.
