The December Mutt of the Month is a cutie pup named Everest who was adopted at the 2021 Lucky’s Mutt Madness pet adoption event. She was one of 15 dogs adopted that year. Fifteen additional puppies found their forever homes at this year's event that was held in conjunction with Equip Expo in October.

Everest’s adopter Claudia attended Equip Expo in 2021 to scout out new landscaping equipment for the company she works with, J & J Property Pros. She was taking a break from the show floor when she went to meet the pups at Lucky’s Mutt Madness.

“We felt that special connection with her,” Claudia remembers. “We love dogs and didn’t expect to come home with a puppy, but we were open to it!” Claudia says Everest is pretty spunky and very smart. “She catches on to commands and learns very quickly.”
