August Mutt of the Month: Echo

Ashley and Danny Hernandez were first time attendees at Equip Expo in 2025. They attended for Danny’s lawn care business, All That Grass Lawn Care in Connecticut. They weren’t aware of the Mulligan’s Mutt Madness pet adoption event until they arrived and saw all the adorable puppies.

“At first, we just stopped by to look and happened to meet Echo,” Ashley remembers. “We held her and immediately noticed how sweet, gentle and loving she was.” The couple decided not to adopt right away because they wanted time to think it through.

But they just couldn’t shake Echo. “We called the shelter to see if she was still available. To our surprise, she had been placed on hold by another family, but the hold had just been lifted.”

The next day, the couple visited Echo and completely fell in love. “It was clear she belonged with us,” Ashley says. “Spending one-on-one time with her at the shelter only confirmed what we already felt – that she was exactly the companion our family had been looking for.”

Echo has made herself comfortable in the family home from day one, and the couple’s four boys really love their new sister. “They love cuddling with her, and she’s also incredibly playful, which has created so many fun and memorable moments for our entire family.”

Ashley says if Echo isn’t curled up next to them, she’s usually running around the house chasing her toys. “We’re excited to attend future Equip events and look forward to seeing other adopted pups return with their families. We’re especially excited to make the trip back again. This time with Echo along for the ride!”
