This month’s Mutt of the Month is an alum of the Mulligan’s Mutt Madness class of 2021. Kaia was adopted by Zach and Alissa who live in Florida and drove to Equip Exposition. The couple already had a five-year-old lab/shepherd mix named Snowman. They didn’t go to the show expecting to adopt a dog, but when they saw Kaia, “it just happened.”

Kaia is a spaniel mix, but she looks like a lab. Alissa describes Kaia as very feisty and spunky. “We haven’t had a puppy for five years, and she zooms around the house!” Alissa reports. Snowman wasn’t sure what to think of Kaia at first, but now they are best buddies. “We got her for him because we didn’t want Snowman to be alone,” Alissa says.

The couple recently bought a home. Now, Kaia loves to be outside in the backyard. Some of her favorite backyard activities include chasing squirrels, running around the yard and jumping off the patio. “When she’s inside, she just stares out the window!” Alissa says of backyard-loving Kaia.
