April Mutt of the Month: Skid

April’s Mutt of the Month – a chill chihuahua named Skid – is from the Mulligan’s Mutt Madness Class of 2025. His adopter, Annie, was attending Equip Expo for the first time when she met her new best friend. “I didn’t come to Equip expecting to adopt, but I knew the event was going on and I was excited to be able to be a part of it because I love dogs in general.”

Skid’s personality is what drew him to her. “He was super calm for a chihuahua, and that’s really what I liked about him,” Annie says. They had a five-hour drive home to Illinois, and Skid slept most of the way, except when they stopped at a pet store to pick up a few things. “He did great in the car!”

Since arriving at his new home, Skid has settled in like a champ. “He is doing great here at our farm in Illinois. Skid loves my other two dogs and he and my daughter are best buds.”

Some of Skid’s favorite things include chewing on antlers, playing with his tiny squeaky frog and being with his humans. “He goes everywhere with us!” Annie exclaims. “I have my own dog grooming business, and my boyfriend has a turf company. Skid has even gotten to ride on the combine with us. He’s a little farm dog.”
