Each month, we profile a dog that was rescued at the annual Mulligan’s Mutt Madness adoption event, sponsored by the TurfMutt Foundation in collaboration with the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS). Over the years, the event has matched more than 50 rescue dogs with their forever families who attended the Equip Exposition tradeshow in Louisville.
August's Mutt of the Month is a spunky, yet sweet, little guy named Mosby. Mosby was adopted at the 2021 Mutt Madness event. A blonde pug and Staffordshire terrier mix, Mosby landed in a home with lots of fur siblings to play with.
“He’s adapted really well with his five new brothers and sisters,” reports Mosby’s human James. “He’s also in training to be my new service dog. He’s doing great with recognizing my moods and issues, and he relaxes me.”
James says all of his service dogs have been rescues. “We truly appreciate our dogs. Our favorite breed is rescued,” he notes. We couldn’t agree more, James!
This year’s Mulligan’s Mutt Madness pet adoption event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 19 at the Equip Expo tradeshow. If you’re registered to attend Expo, please stop by Freedom Hall from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. to meet the pups. Who knows? You just may find your fur-ever friend!
