When Rose was adopted at Mulligan’s Mutt Madness 2025, little did she know she was hitting the doggie jackpot! Rose not only got a lovely new home - complete with a beautiful backyard for romping in - she also got a big brother named Jack.

Jessica, Rose’s adopter, is no stranger to the magic of Mutt Madness. As a staff member at the Kentucky Expo Center (KEC) where Equip Exposition and the Mutt Madness adoption event are held, she visits the pups at the event every year.

“I just went to look like I always do,” Jessica admits. “But we had been searching for a playmate for Jack for a while, and when I saw Rose, I knew she was the one.”

Jessica says Jack was almost two when he found her family about a year ago. “He was in pretty bad shape when he came to us, but he’s living his best life ever now! He’s pretty amazing, and he’s a great trainer for Rose.”

Jessica says Rose loves to follow Jack around the house and yard and steals toys from him every chance she gets. “Jack is very gentle; he always checks on her when she barks or whines. We are very pleased with our new addition!”

Rose was one of 13 lucky dogs adopted at Mutt Madness 2025. We’re already looking forward to Mulligan’s Mutt Madness 2026, which will once again be held during Equip Exposition in Louisville in October. Stay tuned on TurfMutt.com and our social channels for more details!
