Itโs an important life lesson to learn which plants and grasses thrive in your area, and you can never start too early! Thatโs why the TurfMutt Foundation has developed a lesson plan for kids in grades K-2 that explores this topic.
The lesson, โKnow Your Climate Zone,โ includes a map of the U.S. that identifies the various climate zones for each region and state. It teaches kids the definitions for important terms like climate zone, native plants and adapted plants. It also educates them about the four major climate zones โ polar, dry, humid tropical and moist mid-latitude.
Download the lesson plan now to share with the kids in your family. Who knows, you might just learn something, too!
