Outdoor power equipment makes lawn care easy, especially at the end of summer and into fall. But lawn mowers, trimmers and leaf blowers should be operated safely away from pets and kids, always.

Beat the Heat & Stay Cool
Even as summer winds down, warm days persist. Avoid strenuous outdoor play during peak sun hours. Always test pavement with your palm – if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for sensitive paws! When hanging out in the yard, provide plenty of cool shade and fresh, clean water. (Remember: inside with you is always the safest place to cool off!)

Be Travel Smart
Planning a road trip with Fido? Never leave pets alone in a parked car and always secure them safely in a harness or crate. Make sure microchips and ID tags are up to date before heading out.
