Science isn’t always a walk in the park…but sometimes it literally is! Watch this segment from Mission Unstoppable, brought to you by the TurfMutt Foundation, to learn more about the science and engineering of Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville. The park is home to the TurfMutt Great Lawn and welcomes more than 2 million visitors each year! The episode features Deborah Bilitski, Executive Director of Waterfront Park and friend of TurfMutt.

Waterfront Park is a key feature of downtown Louisville and offers a place for the community to connect to one another and the green space around them. Once a partially abandoned industrial area, the area was transformed into a lush 35-acre park through decades of work. The episode explains how the TurfMutt Great Lawn was engineered to withstand recent flooding…and more!
